Our FHE activity was measuring the kids' growth. I feel like this was an awesome christening to the new house, especially since another family grew up in this house. We picked a beam that had already had growth marked on it. I'll add a picture of it later.
Our first major projects are going to be cleaning, painting, ripping out the carpet and refinishing the floors, and getting the place cleaned up. There's a bit of a spider problem (I found a black widow last night when we were going down into the basement) so we'll have to take care of that, too. Shaena suggested a bug bomb, but when I was telling people about it on Facebook, apparently that may not be the solution. I'll have to do some research!
The first major purchase will be a refrigerator. Right now I am looking on Craigslist, anywhere between Lewiston/Clarkston and the Spokane/Coeur D'Alene area, but if anyone knows of a nice, roomy fridge locally for a good price, I'd be interested to hear about it!
Joe and I are both so, so excited to get ripping into the house. I can't wait until it's cleaned up and we can move in!!
